Choose your Windows package
Openotex currently supports 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11. A local LaTeX distribution is required for compilation.

Before you begin
Does Openotex include LaTeX itself?
No. Install a LaTeX distribution such as MiKTeX first. Openotex then uses that installation to compile projects and can request missing packages.
Which platforms are available?
Version 1.5.0 is distributed for 64-bit Windows. The source repository also contains build instructions for contributors.
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
Openotex is a desktop editor. Projects and compilation remain on your computer; the website does not require an account or add tracking.
